This is really tragic and I'm getting the impression of evil waging war on Christians. There's nothing that I can see that this man has done that's illegal. So why the persecution and lack of charges? In the meantime he sits in legal limbo locked up as a PRISONER.
This does not sound like persecution. It sounds like an immigration issue.
The pastor has a failing refugee claim. Given that he is from Denmark, he will have an uphill struggle since Denmark is not recognized as a source of refugees.
It sounds like he may have the basic elements of a case, but it will be necessary to convince a judge, and we only have one side of the story here.

wow... you sound church injured. denominations do serious damage. the purpose of this post is to point out to those who can receive it just how post constitutional the US is. The US legal system was setup to try to deliver justice based on bible principles. those are long gone. it's true Torben would like to be "released" and to receive "justice" - and yes, we've been praying for him. but we are students of Jesus and we see Jesus accomplishing amazing things in these situations. scripture clearly says students of Jesus will be hated and persecuted unjustly, we know it and expect it- and here it is. now, as for your observed list, demons, illness, disease- yes to all of it, we see it all the time (cures). this is different than persecution- which we expect. the bulk of the denominations are cults teaching a false gospel of happy life with no pain. the devil can and will kill you and the demoninations dont teach that. my friend, its very difficult to cast out demons you love. it is easy to receive more demons, your flesh is weak. you've not heard the gospel yet- though you think you have. through your church anger and injury i pray holy spirit intervene in your mind, drawing you to Jesus. amen
