About 30 years ago when I was in Turkey in the USAF I used to smoke. We had tobacco and alcohol rations to keep black marketing down (thanks Turkey...). I used to buy 3 cartons of Lucky Strike Lights at $2.00 a carton, cash in the $2.50 off coupon on the carton itself, get paid a buck 50, and go to the club downtown. That club cost either $5 to get in, or a pack of American cigarettes. Those were the days.
