Interesting... the article (and Target) clams that they removed "items" due to employee safety and well-being. NOT because it was offensive to a large number of people, NOT that the merch is morally wrong.
So with their public statement, it's all about employee safety. Oh my, what BRAVE people they are, standing up to the "far right"...which is code words for about 70% of the population.
Until it hurts their bottom line and their stock value. Sacrifices have to be made to change the world, and so far, sacrificing But Lite, Target, Disney, North Face, and other woke merchants is a very small price to pay for returning our society to sanity.
I know innocent employees, people just trying to make a living at these places, would suffer, but again, SACRIFICES MUST BE MADE. And we can make that happen if we act in unison. I will never enter a Target store or order online from them, ever again. But my small little individual boycott would be meaningless to Target. But if everyone on our side did that, they would feel the heat.
The employees will be fine. Worst case they can get a new job. There is not one place here in town that is not hiring. Shit, the only ones not hiring right now are Anheiser Bush and Disney. Wonder why.
The AP who put out threats of violence...had to backtrack when asked for at least ONE specific threat? They had none...and AP changed the false statement.
The article mentions that the Right is waging a war on them.
War seems to indicate that we are "locked" in battle together. For me, nothing could be further from the truth. This business has shown the world who they are, now they cease to exist as far as I am concerned.
There is no boycott. There is no battle. There is no war. They are nothing now.
Please note this article says the main reason for backlash was an adult women's bathing suit. Nope. It is the tuck it clothes for babies, toddlers and children. And the banned books? Homo porn. Would it be ok to put hetero porn in school libraries?

They need to be shut down!

I just posted an article that says they were simply moved to the back of the store.
Yep. Just like the "adult" section at the old video store.
Never could shop at Target and never will.
