There may be something to it, him being on his deathbed, but there is no sauce for it, yet I doubt we'd even get it until they felt the need to announce it.
There is a source in Rome who does thorough reporting on everything Vatican but for the life of me I cant remember the site address or name of the reporter. My Dad would know but he wont be here for a few days.
If it's the Vatican News, they had nothing on there about it, or even him currently being sick. If it's not, I don't know the source you are referring to.
Is this the only source?
I do know he's been sick for the last few weeks. I could not find any source stating he is on his deathbed currently though.
Apparently today, he was running a fever and skipped public meet and greets: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/pope-francis-fever-vatican-audiences-skipped-pentacost-mass-rcna86394
He had bronchitis just a couple of weeks ago too: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/pope-francis/pope-francis-rome-hospital-bronchitis-still-alive-joke-rcna77754
^ Sorry for the NBC links. ^
Here is Reuters stating his health problems will not stop him: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/health-problems-will-not-stop-pope-francis-cardinal-says-2022-05-10/

Wow! Thanks for the research fren!
No problem! I try to be much better about that. I've jumped the gun in the past and came off looking like a fool 😂
I must have missed that fren!
