Right! We saw this happen when Japan challenged the US with cars that were cheap, reliable and fun to drive in the 70’s. Our cars needed an engine rebuild at 100k and they were gas guzzling rattle traps at 10 years old.

I drove a 2003 ford ranger before they were gay and had 140k miles before I even changed the tires. Hardly even changed the oil. Slow as fuck though.

The Ranger is one of the best vehicles Ford has ever produced…but barely changing the oil? Comon man!
