Steve Kirsch is having Mattis Desmet on his program today. Holy moly, there are people really invested in the argument in the comments. Is Desmet right/wrong? I tend to think he is onto something, but what seems to be missing from some of the arguments is the point that it is okay to question and disagree - in fact that is a good thing. But you get people who are so invested in NO YOU ARE WRONG, shaking fingers that you look at the exchange and think "uh, you are proving his point."
On to something. 2+2=4 so does 10-6 and many ways to get to 4, but when one is saying 1+1=4 and they are a figure and we’ll known. This is the time to say 1+1 is not equal to 4. So saying -you are wrong- is correct.
If a guy says he is lgbtq+ that equals mental illness. Sure can make mental illness the authority and let it decide commonplace, but it will fail in disaster or we can let them be mental illness patients. Eventually that mentality will end. It is not self preservative.
But
If a church says lgbtq+ and this church claims Christianity—we can tell that church -you are wrong-
I am not perfect but to tell others they are perfect and they are not is evil too.
People like to claim political views are different and that too is a lie.
Can an atheists be a politician- yep. Can a atheist have morals and be a patriot- yep.
So can a Christian.
These evil people believe they are perfect and above all others who do not bow to them… I say to them - you are wrong- ;)
Interesting point on individuals vs. Institutions. Ironically, the concept if insanity is not a medical term - it's a legal one.
Insanity from Einsteins perspective is doing the the same thing over and over expecting different results.
Mental illness is different.
Yes definitions matter. The scary part is when we define things that are really just personal choices as mental illnesses and demand an outcome.
From these loonie leftists they want people who refuse to shop at target defined as terrorists. They will say you are insane and have a mental illness because you will not shop at target.
In their world, they are right. They are of sound mind to themselves. It is when we say to them they are wrong and we have our constitutional rights couple with God. They do not stand a chance.
The thing with evil is you might know a democratic person who says to you that if you do not want to shop at target that is your choice. Yet they do not tell their cohorts this all while telling you that you are a conspiracy theorist.
It is all the same evil. We call it seeing.
At the end of WW2 did they not march all those that said the same in front of the evil they were protecting? Some protect evil knowingly and others unknowingly.
The ones who do it knowingly are very dangerous and will receive a greater punishment.
What has been done to the western society and USA is a very well thought out plan of sanity. Some want the same results when they do things over and over.
Does the USA have that little bit of rebellion required to defeat this evil? I look at those who go against evil as true rebels. My definition of evil is simple. Anyone who hurts children are evil beasts. To proactively push for abortion without consequences of the actions is evil.
A culture was cultivated that emphasizes being correct over all else, and you can't be wrong because some authority told you that you were right, and if you're wrong then everything you believe is a lie and that is hard to reconcile.
People believe they're more intelligent than they are, and this creates its own problems too. It's fine (and expected) to substitute education with intelligence, but not at the cost of confusing them as being the same thing. People desperately want to be "right" because being "wrong" is stigmatized so harshly.
I also believe that, in part, there is a lack of humility amongst humans nowadays, at least outspoken ones. To be humble is considered weakness, and to admit being wrong is a manifestation of that weakness -- and people want to pretend to be strong.
That is a really good point about the stigma of being wrong.
Humility is knowing you are right and giving the enemy a chance to repent. It is a strength.
Yes lots been taught this is a sign of weakness. But these same also think haste is a strength too.
Wisdom (intelligence) says haste makes waste.
Rush called it the drive by media for a reason. The media makes us accept waste as truth.
In the Bible Paul (Saul) — Saul approved of killing Stephen, Stephen fell to his knees and essentially said the same as Jesus did on the cross. Later Saul became Paul and said he died daily.
Some do not want to see but they have no choice. Some want to desperately be wrong but they are right.
Very sad thing to see in our culture right now. They are proactively cultivating terrorists against good and these terrorists to themselves are knights.
God (Jesus) is only on one side and that doesn’t mean we will be kind to them when enough is enough. It means we have allowed the torment for so long and they still refuse to repent.
This is why the meek inherit the earth. It takes patience.
