Idk why y'all are celebrating this. The whole point of massive student debt was to financially enslave an entire generation to the feds, making it much harder for them to protest or organise against the NWO.
College education used to cost a small fraction of what it does now. Colleges get bookoo bucks from the feds which increases federal control over universities, and students are indebted for decades if not for life.
Conservatives don't complain when the Uniparty gives a blank check to defense contractors like Raytheon, Lockheed Martin etc, but go crazy over something that could actually help in the fight against the deep state.
Having said all that, I don't think the Biden administration ever expected this to go through, but just did it for optics / 2022 midterms.
Unshackling the so-called parasites would have been the least evil thing America’s government has funded in generations.
Tuition became predatory 35 years ago on purpose and - in most cases- nothing even close to resembling an education was bought with those slavery-dollars.
I still think the better route is to drain every single endowment from these schools and turbo the loans from there.
Very true. I graduated 34 years ago. Many of my peers worked and put themselves through school - maybe some debt, but nothing like it is today.
A few years ago, I asked my mom how much did my education cost. University of CA was a total of $30K for four years, which included living expenses, books, etc. Now it is $30K per year and that is if you live at home - $40K with on campus housing. The quality of education in no way is any better. But I remember Clinton especially pushing the "everyone needs to go to college' because otherwise they will because failure in life. I disagreed with that then but tried to question myself to make sureI wasn't pulling a " well I got mine, sucks to be you" on myself. Nope. But I never dreamed it would get like this.
The internet brings mass information to the masses, so now you need less experience or education on paper anyway.
The only value college brings other than the papers is offering hands on experience, which is invaluable... but replaceable, especially if you find someone in your field that will see your potential and offer you training.
It also makes it easier than ever for people to put together a plan using publicly available information to push you forward.
College is 100% over valued in the era of the internet.
It is going through, the bill isn't enough of a majority for Biden not to hit it with a veto, which means he veto's this bill and his student loan plan goes forward unless the Supreme Court steps in and judges otherwise.

Uh, bullshit. We are the first ones to call out fraud, waste, and abuse.

Yeah, I think it is still pending for the SC.
