Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Looking for health advice for my wife, like many of you do not trust doctors or current GI drugs
Does anyone here deal with chronic loose stools that is not typical IBS-D or as serious/constant as Chron's?
There is no real trigger, the most common perhaps trigger is it is worse when large gaps of time occur between meals
The types of meals do not matter, sometimes a fried or seasoned meal will have no problems or a clean, whole foods meal will cause an instant bathroom run
I am guessing she needs more intense probiotics and something to repair gut lining, but what?
I have chron's ( currently in remission). I had to give up the "nightshade" plant family. Potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, and egg plant. Spaghetti, pizza, mashed potatoes where the hardest. I also drank "Georges" alovera which seemed to heal the lesions in the lining of the intestines. It's a process that takes a long time but can be done. I still have to be careful but life is much more normal. Oh I also had to really watch chemicals in food and even meds and vitamins.
I do not have Chron's , but I have mast cell ativation syndrome, from end stage Lyme. I had a major flare up , and now am eating a diet free of histamines. It's killin me not being able to eat all the foods I was fine with, especially the Italian foods and tomatos, I am eating the foods from my childhood, when I had no appetitie, bland and boiled, I mean, there's a reason why there's no such thing as Irish take-out, or Irish restaurants.
I read the books of Jordan Rubin many years ago...including "Patient Heal Thyself". He healed himself of crohn's disease...like you..it can be done...I applaud you for taking control of the situation and especially that you have a positive outcome....I love George's Aloe vera...take some every day in my water...
God bless you as you continue to heal and become healthy and whole...from the inside out...
