I'm firmly in the Anarchist camp, but I find politics entertaining as they bicker over the terms of my enslavement.
I was a staunch Ron Paul Republican back in 07' and volunteered heavily for the campaign in NH. I met a lot of Anarchists during this time and I thought they were crazy. Lysander Spooner's No Treason: The Constitution of No Authority converted me instantly. It's on Youtube in audio format.
Thanks for the reading suggestions. It's been a long time since I've delved into Ancap literature and my memory is fuzzy on what I've read.
Some of my reading included:
Hayek,
Hazlitt's Economics in One Lesson,
Hans Hermann Hoppe's Democracy The God That Failed. People need to learn that Democracy is poison.
Stefan Molyneux was a big influence on me in my early exploration of Anarchism, but I ended up not agreeing with his deontological approach. I don't think natural rights exist, though I did for a long time. So I'm on the side of David Friedman's consequentialist take. As George Carlin said:
“Boy everyone in this country is running around yammering about their fucking rights. "I have a right, you have no right, we have a right."
I think rights were a nice narrative weapon or tool to use in our quest for freedom, but now people are comfortable and complacent. Now everyone has a right to use whatever bathroom. As you said, this is how far we've fallen.
I will say the reason we have any freedom at all is because of our culture and our culture was influenced by the idea of rights. But I like to be specific and not pretend something actually exists because we get into trouble that way with dumb people believing in positive rights which leads us right back to Communism. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
A big part of my political views comes from just being a big history and philosophy buff. I'm amazed historians can be left leaning, as many are.
A self admitted idiot of a wise man (who was a prosecuting attorney for 20 years and president of local county Bar association) once told me, I guess, 8 years ago now.
(In regards to my "unique" political views and individual beliefs)
"That's all fine and dandy.
But do you want to make a point or do you actually want to make things happen?"
And
Somewhere around the same time -
"Your mad because you are just now finding out that you dont have to be smart to get things done, you just have to not be stupid. Think about that."
So. Anyway point of this being. To everyone here.
Get involved the right way. Don't be a little right wing snowflake with your libertarian views splitting hairs about anarchy and a free market and etc.
The laws and politics have a 250ish year ebb and flow behind them that you have to catch up on first. Sheesh just look up union history and employment law for example.
Point being. Study politics, history, law, get involved locally and start doing stuff.
It's the best thing, our state/federal structure.
The true Achilles heel against a tyranical government is always present in our system but it relies on a willing and competent people to enact the procedures necessary.
The "off" button to this shit starts at your city.
I'm not disagreeing with you. I certainly vote and I voted for Trump, who I think decided to destroy the system from within using "accelerationism" as his strategy.
Many Anarchists think the system will destroy itself so they're fine making it happen faster and Trump did that with "Warp Speed".
You'd be surprised how epic the scale of corruption is at a state level, even in little ol NH. We have certain laws in our books that make NH a great money laundering state, similar to Ukraine. So we have $100s of millions being laundered through here for massive cartels and politicians throughout the country. Our judges are bought and paid for to look the other way. Our governors are selected. We absolutely voted for Trump over Biden, but we have Dominion.
Biden got 5th place in the primaries here. NH LOVES populist candidates on the left and right. Then Biden smoked Trump in the general even though he had no ground game and no enthusiasm. How Biden did WAY better than Hillary Clinton in NH makes No. Fucking. Sense.
I'm just wanting to use this as springboard for other readers on this site.
For a long time and still I have unique political views and a fairly well assessed world view. But also sat on it and just complained when it was a relevant to a conversation.
I am in aggreance with a lot of the philosophy and values behind what you are putting down but my sentiment can be best described as
Sometimes we have to play the actual game, fuck around and find out a little. In relation life. Which it seems to me you have already done this, what concerns me is like the other 80% of readers on the site who are absorbing and learning all of these things and doing nothing.
What the corruption loves best is for everything to be typical and routine.
What they hate the most is new idiots in the town hall blabbing about some irrelevant topic and sniffing around - exhibit A look how flustered school boards are getting even about the gay erotic material.
The parents are sniffing around and putting the slackers to work and that's what they hate the most. Most people in some hierarchy of public admin thar have influence or authority in any capacity love to maximize how much they are able to weird that influence or authority for their own personal gain while doing the least amount of public good or work. It's like quiet quitting. Except it's always been like this at least for as long as I've been alive that I can tell.
Literally just getting involved in local town halls and asking what you can do to help the community, what projects are taking place, what is happening- just being aware and involved puts them to work and the bad ones hate a bunch of new residents etc coming in and asking how they can improve things when the bad ones were content utilizing their influence to enrich themselves and do nothing at all.
Everyone here should be asking how to help their community and how to get involved, not to necessarily be righteous, but to make their immediate elected officials get off there fucking ass. Shine a light on them, everyone would be surprised.
It's literally the single most antagonistic and simple thing to do to begin seeing how fucked shit is - just try to do good things for your community and get involved. Receiving push back? Interesting. Why? Because you local government is full of lazy corrupt covksuckers and its up to you to force them to perform work.
And everyone can do it. Whether your a cashier, trade, white-collar, whatever. Everyone can do it but no one does. And that's that they love.
The easiest way to see how shit really is to be active and not passive within your local government. But who will?
We have a huge online community but we need more physical communities.
Again, like my old mentor said
You don't have to be smart to get things done you just have to not be stupid.
Stefan Molyneux, let me guess, he left out the key part that says that Anarchy is a system that has no leader, or a system where everyone is vying for the position of Leader....
""Rights""....
Yeah, it's a thing, and we all have problems finding the median between Rights and Privileges....
We do in fact have ""Rights"", odd as it sounds, but we can only call them ""Rights"" due to not having a better word to describe them....
On the other side of the same palm, not the opposing side of the hand, we have ""Liberties"", where ""Rights"" make it so we may open a business of our choosing, say a Bomb Making business, our ""Liberties"" make it so we are Clothed, Housed, Fed, Watered, and other things with the expense carried by the Business and not ourselves....
""Rights"" would be the Thumb side of the hand, whereas ""Liberties"" would be the little finger side of the hand....
It's a really weird world we live in, but we do what we can to Comprehend it....
Ive always looked at the political spectrums in a circle, where absolute left and absolute right meet at a terminus. Both political ideologies at their extremes equal authoritarianism and as far as the ideologues are concerned, anarchy isnt part of the equation.
Ok, but Anarchy cannot be left out, it is in fact part of that equation, otherwise we have no beginning base....
One person walking alone, has no Govt, that is anarchy, Two or more people , all equally decided to cause chaos, is anarchy if they do not have a specified ruler or leader, witness ANTIFA, where they currently do not have anyone pointedly or openly in charge....
Maybe in the circle analogy, anarchy should fill the center with the political spectrum surrounding it. Or perhaps the People fill the center of the circle with political ideologies as the demarcation, while anarchy surrounds it all, outside the circle. Yea I think I like the second one better.
My point is that among ideologues, anarchy isnt an option they would consider and that authoritarianism is where left and right become indistinguishable. The linear graph doesnt show this but isnt it Truth?
On the left you have secret police and the right death squads and each answers to a despot.
I kinda get what you're saying, but it's rather confused, maybe try to put it all on a singular line, instead of the ""Circle"", due to it not having anything to do with Feelings and Emotions, and only Power and Control of Other people....
True, existence of people without a Govt, doesn't equal chaos, but Anarchy means no Leader, it is a different thing, it is the existence of a mass without Leadership....
All of their tenets align with Authoritarian Totalitarian Communism, from what people may eat, to what women are allowed to wear, to Forced Prayer times, and the list goes on....
Yes, Islam is authoritarian. However, you've got the axes reversed. On the right is the authoritarian forms of government where maximum power is concentrated in increasingly few hands. Go from a rather centrist republic where a small group of representatives holds power to oligarchy where a cartel or junta rule as a committee to forms were a single person holds all the power like a monarchy, theocracy, or dictatorship. You're correct to group Islamic theocracy in with Marxism on this access because they both concentrate enormous power in the hands of very few.
However, there are other axes that can be added. Usually it's an economic axis. So you can have a democracy (each citizen gets a vote, highly dispersed authority) which is capitalist or one which is Marxist.
This is sort of Political Science 101 and worth reading up on the differences between "right" and "left" in order to understand the terms. The reason you got them backwards is that the modern "Left" cloaks itself in individual liberties and claims to support democracy while in fact creating a system of government that tricks citizens into thinking they hold power when in fact only a tiny cartel/junta/cabal actually hold the power. For example, we in the US think we get to pick the President with a popular vote. It's a total lie. Two political parties choose the candidates that may go on the ballot. They do this by having a small group of party elites vote for those candidates. You get to choose one of the two choices the parties select for you. The party primaries are rigged, and so is the general election. You think you hold power when in fact, the donors who control the parties hold the power and lie to you about that.
No no, this is an incorrect Point, ""On the right is the authoritarian forms of government"", Nope...
Everything Authoritarian begins with Zero Authority, or No Leaders, and move to Extreme Leaders, better known as the top Gang over all other gangs, Capo Di Tuti Capo...
Where there is no designated Leader, everyone is vying to be the Leader, even children get into this fight, like a dog pile, everyone is fighting for position....
Then one come out as Leader, that is the point of singular Authority, the whoe of Government, which we do not have, but ObamaBidette seems to think we do....
So we move further left, and we have a breaking up of these Powers, and although I personally disagree with the Level of Power gifted to Congress over SCOTUS, I do agree they should be all three separate, and Equal, Equal meaning that
Congress should be prohibited from shutting down SCOTUS upon a whim like we see in Ex Parte McCardle, that allowed for the 14th, and 15th Reconstruction of the Constitution Amendments....
It may not be Perfect, but it's better then what the rest of the planet has, and we can Improve upon it, IF we are given the chance, on the other hand, they can also make it much, much, Much, worse....
I'm firmly in the Anarchist camp, but I find politics entertaining as they bicker over the terms of my enslavement.

OMG!!!
I rarely meet People who know who he is, much less have read any of his writings, and YES, that is a very good read....
Have you read Vattels The Law of Nations: Or, Principles of the Law of Nature Applied to the Conduct and Affairs of Nations and Sovereigns??
I've read all five books....
Oh, and how about the Catechism of the U.S. Constitution???
And S.A. Steeles The South was Right???
or another might be Republic of Republics???
We have the entire World of solid knowledge at our fingertips, and just look at our society trying to figure put which toilet they should use....
It's absolutely shameful....

Can you tell us where this chart came from.
I found it while searching the net for Political Spectrums....
Then I added the four parts that make it accurate and Correct....
DemonRats....
Republicants....
Libertardians....
Me....
Nice. I like it.

Bad machine analogy:
Red side: gears and parts are glued together, they don't move, the machine no longer functions
Green side: parts are not touching, there's no machine, parts don't do anything yet beside exist
Between Red and Green: varying levels of tightness for how you want your machine to operate
Obviously you are a Mechanic, and not an Auto Designer, I no longer call them the other word, because they aren't the other word....
All they are is Designers, and not the other word....
no government does not equal chaos.
True, existence of people without a Govt, doesn't equal chaos, but Anarchy means no Leader, it is a different thing, it is the existence of a mass without Leadership....
That is chaos....
