I also heard some time ago that one of the presidents was told that an atomic explosion will destroy your soul. Whether you believe in heaven, hell, or reincarnation there is no afterlife if you die directly in the blast. If true this should be absolutely terrifying.
I’m reminded of the pictures of the citizens of Hiroshima who were unlucky enough to be caught directly in the blast, where they stood was a shadow outline of their body created when they were vaporized.
There is no foundation for this nonsense. An atomic bomb explosion is heat, light, and shock wave. No anti-soul physics. No worse than a sniper bullet through the temple. Or a 155mm artillery round that blows you to shreds. I sense that there is little appreciation for how horrible conventional war is.
Just what I heard and was passing along friend.
But glad you cleared it up for me. I would appreciate you siting your sources as to how you know my comment was in error. Please cite your higher authorities.
The horse's mouth would be "The Effects of Nuclear Weapons" by Samuel Glasstone. https://www.amazon.com/Effects-Nuclear-Weapons-Samuel-Glasstone/dp/160322016X My father also walked through the ruins of Nagasaki on shore leave in November 1944. Saw the human shadows (really, the bleaching of stone or concrete not protected by the shadow of a human being) and found other pitiable evidence of human destruction.
But you have to use your head. The soul is spirit, and that is beyond the reach of physics.

To believe that a nuclear blast can destroy the soul, you must believe that a nuclear blast is more powerful than God.
That's so horrible. Hopefully, never again.
