but they cannot advertise cigarettes or spirits anymore . . .
pharma ads have picked up the revenue stream . . .
Ever notice how every single drug commercial has a litany of side effects crammed into the second half of the ad read at 2x speed? But nary a single side effect is named in the clot shot commercials.
Because advising you of the side effects releases them of liability. They already have liability protection on the jab and vaccines so no need to advise you of the side effects.
Bingo
with descriptions like - which could be fatal...
And with a bunch of smiling people dancing around and singing about the wonderful drug.
To be fair, they do say - if not treated, could be fatal. So it's not the drug, it's your your dumb ass failing to recognize that the drug is killing you, and not getting said ass into the hospital on time, where it becomes the hospital's fault.
They do say something like, if you start to die, call your doctor so yes, they cover themselves.
The big Pharma reps come to their offices already showing what is being pushed. doc is unlikely to go against it.....
Plus, I believe they get a "bonus" to prescribe the drug.
They do in chemotherapy if they have private practice. If not, the hospital system definitely takes a cut…
Very few drugs actually have mortality as a meaningful adverse effect. The ones that do are typically last line drugs for life threatening conditions. You try them when you're out of all other options. I can think of a couple of antibiotics and some cancer drugs that are like that. These aren't run-of-the-mill maintenance medications.
If you're hearing about a drug with mortality as a legitimate adverse effect, that's a conversation that should never be handled by a pharma company ad exec or sales representative. It should be handled by their attending physician who has explained to them all of their treatment options thoroughly so the patient can make a FULLY informed choice. Sometimes, you do indeed take the risk because that 5% mortality for patients on ventilators receiving X drug probably have a >50% of dying without the drug from the infection or cancer that's eating their body alive - and you've tried every other safer option.
which always splashes cold water on the person hoping to be cured of their ailment.
Add in anal leakage, taint rot, etc etc.
They probably also own the adult diaper market.
Yeah, no shit...oh...wait...never mind...
Advertising prescription drugs direct to consumers should be criminal. If the doctor is to be the gatekeeper in our system, then they should only be allowed to advertise to the doctor. It is up to medical professionals to know their "medical tool kit" and prescribe appropriately for their patients, not the patient's job to come in an ask for drugs they don't need. If the patient has questions about a treatment recommendation, then they can ask their doctor who has the training and experience to explain it properly without that asinine list of 32 pages of sides effects most of which are irrelevant artifacts of an oversensitive clinical testing practice.
And frankly when we do talk about cancer drugs with really nasty side effects, the doc (and the pharmacist too, btw) need to sit down with the patient and walk them through all of the risks and benefits of what poison they're about to put into their body in hopes of treating their disease, the proper way to do it, what to expect, how to handle some of the adverse effects of the drug without polypharmacy, etc. The patient has a right to know what they're getting into and the pharma companies never fully disclose that.
They try and pressure the doctor from all angles to push their product.
Current cancer treatment drugs are a scam. The ones they use first should be the ones used as a last resort.
Seeing my Mother currently under the gun of the chemotherapy pressure is sad. They present it as the ONLY choice to keep you alive longer than X amount of months, and skip over all the potential downsides. They also can never tell you how much longer the chemo will even give you in terms of lifespan.
It’s one big scam. There’s a reason nutrition, generic drugs, etc. aren’t studied ($$$)
My vitamin D only list couple of side effects and said that’s all, and I try to seek ingredients and all side effects can’t find it anywhere online (yet)
Warfarin has every single side effect there is. They have the side effect sheet folded like a map.
Repurposed rat poison
Yes and I don't think I need to take the stuff anymore. They said all my blood clots have dissolved. But because I'm at high risk for further blood clots, they want me on it indefinitely. I should tell them to go fly a kite and switch to aspirin.
Look into herbs too. Dandelion root, Essiac Tea, etc.
Nattokinase is wonderful for dissolving clots.
I ordered a bottle from Amazon just now. For some strange reason, Amazon won't ship it to my address.
I have to go to an "Amazon Locker" which is a RiteAid drug store out in town. Thank You for the suggestion. 🙂
Take a look at white willow bark extract. Not saying you should or shouldn't - just saying that if I were in your shoes, I'd take a hard look at it as an alternative to any form of pharma made aspirin.
Important to know about medications:
Beware of medications with "Black Box Warning":
A black box warning is the sternest warning issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that a medication can carry and still remain on the market in the United States.1
A black box warning appears on the label of a prescription medication to alert you and your healthcare provider about any important safety concerns, such as serious adverse effects or life-threatening risks.
A black box warning, also known as a “black label warning” or “boxed warning,” is named for the black border surrounding the text of the warning that appears on the package insert, label, and other literature describing the medication (for example, magazine advertising). https://www.verywellhealth.com/black-box-warnings-1124107

Good info, thanks for posting this - maybe should be it's own sticky post.
Now I understand why Xanax is so popular.
Welcome, fren.
Also, someone who is very addicted and body is dependent on Xanax or Alcohol and stops cold-turkey may die.
This kind of person must be weaned off.
But don’t use it if you’re allergic to it. These ads are ludicrous. Ask your doctor for a drug by name for something you might have because the magic box said to. Nope!
That's another good one. Not our fault you are allergic to our poison - your were warned..
I remember back in the 1990's when Big Pharma began running tons of commercials, a doctor friend ranted about patients going into his office telling them which prescription they needed even though they had no reason to be on the drug. He was furious about the ads.
