Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Despite managing a chronic and painful syndrome, I am the lab rat (self inflicted) of a few regimens that followed the "natural" guidelines. One of them caused a very life threatening reaction. I decided to do a parasite cleanse, (not the first time, I've been a natural healing hippy for a looooong time. For pop culture reference, "Horse With No Name and Bubba O'Reilly" were competing for most played song after dropping acid.. Anyway. If you are under 50 and having some health issues that don't go away, research it and take supplements. I am convinced that all chronic auto immune illness comes from malnutrition. Supplements work We cannot all grow our own food, it is a lot of work. So #1 the food we eat is not fresh, it lacks enzymes that you need to absorb the nutrients. Enzymes are chemicals, they can be taken as a pill. Vitamin D is obvious, and it comes from fish and FRESH eggs, we used to eat a lot more fish. Now, those statistics have to do with the fact that the largest settlements of man were always around a body of water or the ocean. We dont do that anymore and all the local fishermen have been put out of business. So we need a pill. It is the same with all supplements. We need them we do not get it all from food. The human body is not going to "evolve" to mass produced food, it has been getting sicker, weaker, and miserably minded. Bottom line, this lab rat has improved, but I have to take them. Self care and preparing every "special meal" for myself (I'm not Oprah) is boring, tiring, and tie consuming. Happy Summer!
I'm with you on most of that, I think the good Lord designed all we need into each ecosystem we're meant to be on, long-term.
What do you think of that balance of nature they advertise? Was thinking of getting it because I’m all malnourished n shit cause I don’t ever eat because I hate food. It’s all the same and it all sucks. I’ve discovered wine is tasty though. Kek
I'm sure they have the basics and it can't hurt. You should eat raw fruit when you can if you like wine, nibble, fruit nuts, low appetite can be from low B12, anemia, and lack of zinc. I don't mean to replace pills with good whole food, but at this point, most Americans need to supplement, it is difficult to get all nutrients from food. Raw fruit has tons of enzymes to help absorb iron. balance of nature is a good start, but try to get that appetite back.
Fruit still tastes great at least. I really appreciate the reply!
