I had this discussion with co-workers years ago. Whenever something controversial happened, usually against conservative, they would parrot “well, Snopes verified it.”
I would counter, “well, who verified Snopes? Who christened them the end-all, be-all when it comes to the truth?”
Blank stares. It’s amazing how programmed and spoon-fed they are.
Truly pathetic. Even my DH and kid used to go to Snopes. After I gave them the sleazy, Clown-op history of the "organization" and the low life guy that supposedly runs it, they finally got that Snope's slanted fact-checking was not always correct.
