I saw an extensive documentary saying there were 8 teams of 2 assassins each. The last resort was the last one hiding in the storm drain. The car actually stopped in front of it for the kill shot before taking off. The 2 frames showing the stop were removed. Witnesses said there were bullets flying all over.
I don't think their were more than 3 teams shooting, possibly each team had a backup,in case they didn't show. Their were a bunch of clowns on the hill to secure the area and run off any witnesses. The book depository was under observation by the inmates in the county jail across the street, they only saw the two men one floor above from where Lee Harvey Oswald was supposed to be.
I saw the same documentary. I'm not on board with all of his assertions, but I believe the storm drain shooter fired the shot that jolted Kennedy's head back and to the left. That's what a bullet traveling upward would do.
The storm drain was accessible through a tunnel that led far away from the site. It was a perfect shooting position and a perfect escape route. No reason assassins would not use it.
