I saw the trailers for this on TV and thought, "Yeah, this lemon isn't going to last a weekend." And I was right. There's just no there, there... and little kids don't understand the Periodic Table and how matter works. The trailer looks like they just phoned it in...lackluster.
But I'm glad to see Disney take it in the wallet again. Maybe a few more flops and the beast will die.
If you watch Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, and the older Disney movies, they were very well done. You can see and look at all the details in the background and know they put in time and care.
Then Aladdin came out. Check out the background. Nothing. Like they don't care any more. Too big to fail.

Same is true for Hillary donor Haim Saban's Power Rangers. When he bought it back from Disney, the villain of the season's (Samurai) plan involved harvesting screams from humans.
The season prior, under Disney, Power Rangers RPM had an apocalypse plot that literally involved mentor of the team being kidnapped by "Alphabet Soup", a CIA stand-in, as a child. When she escaped, in was rife with butterflies and Project Monarch/MKULTRA symbolism.
The last one may have been a warning, not endorsement, since producer Eddie Guzelian responsible for said plot got fired halfway through, and when fans pressed the actors on what the original series ending would be, they stated that Eddie Guzelian told the actors he'd only tell them over a bottle of wine.
Of course, the re-buyout and sell-off of the franchise by Saban was likely to recoup money lost from financing Hillary directly and buying Univision to help her with Hispanics.
