Are grocers, who are feeding people so they don't starve, also grifters for receiving money for food? Should they just eat the cost, out of love for the country and its people? Is the dentist a grifter for getting paid to fix teeth?
Don't be daft.
That's an honest exchange of goods for services.
Now, if that grocer theorized that all his veggies were organic, and began up charging 50%, that would be taking advantage of people who want organic foods, no?
OK let's not be daft. Buying a shirt or mug from a podcaster who provides research and insight that you find engaging, compelling, intelligent or otherwise interesting is also an honest exchange of goods for service. In fact, you got a good package deal: the souvenir item PLUS information.
Funny...I've asked this question a dozen times here (How are full-time Q researchers/podasters supposed to feed their family), and so far...crickets.

Let's talk about our health!
I'm not talking about the t shirt
I'm talking about selling the idea of devolution.
T shirts, I mean whatever. I don't like it but as you said, that's a trade-off/item for cash.
