What are you trashing me for? I am talking about God and His commandments.
The way you wrote that looks like you’re bashing it.
No I am not.
Why is scoffing at the idea that only the 10 commandments are needed in our day and age "bashing the 10 commandments"? Most people here believe the 10 commandments are important and should be followed, but there's a reason they're not the only laws on the books. My God, what are you people even saying right now?
The other laws on the books are mostly detailed elaborations of the 10 commandments. Obviously, there is always temporal law. The Lord pointed out that such will be the result of having Kings, yet he also pointed out they were divinely appointed to apply the law. (Appointed, not blessed. Sometimes, they were a disappointment.)
Yeah no shit most laws are spinoffs of the 10 commandments. But some jackasses here have fairy dust in their heads and think the answer is "oh everyone just follow those and we don't need laws." Yeah no shit, except noody does, and thus, we have law ENFORCEMENT, and then of course we have to decide what spinoffs/iterations of those commandments are necessary and new circumstances arise, leading to more and more settled laws. There's nothing in the 10 commandments about obeying traffic signals. Nothing in there about right of way, staying on the right side of the road, etc. People who say "jUsT fOLlOw ThE tEn CoMmAnDmEnTs" are showing their complete lack of understanding of how humanity works just like an anarchist libertarian. In fact I'm willing to be those are the only idiots spouting this crap. Grow the fuck up people. The world is more complex than Biblical platitudes that sound nice to you.
