I find it hard to believe a scarf blowing in the air, while in a car, could get down to where the axles are, no matter how long the scarf is. I suppose that if the car came to a stop, it could then get there, and as the car picks up speed again, it could then wind around the axle, but it seems pretty far-fetched. But then, given all the "one-in-a-million things" that could happen in the world, some are bound to happen.
Yes, it does look more possible in a car like this. You occasionally hear about people with long hair having it get caught up in the works of a go cart they are riding in, with some partial scalping happening (not a good way to end your stay at an amusement park)
Not to derail, but... speaking of hair and amusement parks, as a teen in the early 80's at Elitch Gardens (Denver) I witnessed a nasty chick fight, couple of Chicanas w "big hair" fighting over some dude. Big girl grabbed a handful of the skinnys, ripping it from her scalp, leaving hairball w 4-5" of scalp attached blowin' round on the ground. The screams matched the sight. Ferris wheels make me puke, so rough to witness :)
That sounds like something that would happen at the Six Flags New Jersey park :) (I've heard so many stories of gang fights and other things there that I would never go, but I guess it's safer than "Action Park" was :) )

Iām always warning the girls about just this- tie your hair up before you get in the go cart. We have one here for the grandkids.
Exactly
Thank you. Husband and son are mechanics and they said the exact same thing! "One in a million." This is fishy...
And then, consider that that odds of someone wearing a red scarf is what, 1 in 8 or less :)
