That's not even the funniest one. The vaccine for tetanus is absolutely hilarious. You are getting a vaccine against a toxin. Clostridium Tetani is a bacteria that is anaerobic. It survives for a very limited time in air, but it seems to thrive in ferrous oxide (rust) in the ground. If you get a deep puncture, the bacteria can get inside you and begin releasing a toxin that can cause nerve issues that is called lockjaw. The vaccine doesn't kill the bacteria, it is supposed to prevent the toxin from getting lockjaw. You have to take anti-biotics (anti-parasitic) to kill the bacteria. Nowadays, you get any cut anywhere on your body from any source and they wanted to give you a booster.
💯. And it's also interesting to note that those who get lockjaw often don't test positive for the bacteria or toxins, and those whose blood is positive for the bacteria/toxins don't always get lockjaw. After reading that, made me wonder if any of the theory is even legit. And the highest risk group for tetanus in the US are actually drug users. And those who are fully vaxxed can obviously still get it.
It certainly seems as though we have to question every thing we have been told and re-verify all information. We can no longer take anything for granted.
