There’s only a comparative handful of places in the world where renewables would create anything approaching a viable return on investment.
Even then. The Energy and material that go into producing something like a Wind turbine. Will usually cost more in energy and environmental costs then the Turbine can produce in a lifetime of optimal efficiency and function.
Not to mention. The Blades as of yet aren’t recyclable with current tech.
I've seen windmill farms in north Texas that go on for miles and miles, and I came to find out that they are grossly inefficient in producing actual ENERGY for homes and businesses there.
Choose any one windmill in the farm, then figure out how much better it would catch the wind if it didn't have x number of windmills surrounding it. The windmills are competing against each other, thus slowing the wind down for its neighbors.
It only stands to reason. It takes energy to turn the blades, which the wind provides, thus, the wind loses energy as it goes along.
FTA: The world needs this wind giant to get back on its feet as quickly as possible, because there’s an overwhelming demand for its products, and we can’t afford to lose even 15% of wind turbine supply.
Actually, we can afford to lose all of it and I sincerely hope that we do!
I worked for Siemens many years ago. I discovered that one phone call to a government minister got things done instantly whereas it took another multinational company 6 months to achieve the same thing. Siemens has a LOT of political influence.

All good points.
The tree hugging loonies here in New England fight amongst themselves because:
🟢 Wind turbines are ugly and disrupt the scenery.
🟢 Wind Turbines kill thousands of birds.
🟢 Wind Turbines produce an audible "woosh" and hum sound.
🟢 Ocean based turbines are interfering with whale migration routes sometimes causing them to beach themselves.
🟢 Hundreds of acres of forest are being cut down for wind and solar farms.
Bwahahaaa.... too delicious.
