the left is fueled by ignorance. plenty of their voters haven't even heard of whats going on. ...and there are those on the right who are just as uninformed, but vote red out of habit, maybe for a RINO every time.
it has cost our adversaries trillions to mislead humans to the degree they have been. and frankly it doesn't sound like you interact with anyone outside this echo chamber, and probably don't speak any more accurately about them than they do about us.
Your condescension towards a differing opinion aside, I have to disagree with you that anon u/ToxicLibertyism sounds like he/she doesn't interact with "anyone outside this echo chamber" and isn't speaking accurately about them. I have many friends on the left, some who have been friends for decades, and wilfully-ignorant, virtue-signaling and hypocritical are just a few of the many unflattering, but apt, descriptions of what these people are, particularly in the realm of politics. Furthermore, TL's description of the behavior of the left in Congress is absolutely true. I would also add that the left is fueled by FEAR.
When I say "all democrats..." it is in reference only to political figures. Individual voters are not the same as the party. The topic of the tread is Flynn foolishly thinking that there is any sort of "unity" to be found with elected democrats.
We as a people who care about protecting our nation, our society, and our way of life simply cannot afford to compromise with the deranged [elected party officials] democrats. They have all proven to be wicked hypocrites who consistently vote against the rule of law, and in support of criminal govt. abuses of power. They are controlled by actual communists determined to destroy every shred of this so-called "democracy" idea. There can never be "unity" with that ideology, period.
I agree that the true, current ideology of the left needs to be exposed. The current left is not like it was decades ago. They always wrapped their ineffectual policies in flowery words, but they weren't anything like the malevolent entity they've become today. As some former leftists have proclaimed, they didn't leave their party, their party left them. Why the rank-and-file, current, democrat-supporting, average citizen refuses to acknowledge this is largely due to the FNM, IMHO.
Indeed. The current iterations (in terms of party leadership, and direction) of both the democrat party, and the republican party are both vastly different than what they were decades ago. Both have slid far to the left. The Cold War never ended.
my condescension towards a differing opinion? while you defend dismissing a whole demographic as your stereotype of the worst of them? its just not based in reality. and it runs contrary to the mission of this website. the awakening is far from over. we have far too much waking to do to dismiss the case as hopeless. there are still plenty of moderate democrats that we can point to the right information to help them understand. the migration from the left to the right has increased from a trickle to a flood, as per the overton window.
so yeah, since we're here to wake people up, I think asserting we cannot counts as dooming. its not even true by your own measure, if you're waiting for 'exposure' to finally change some peoples mind. its frustrating to argue with friends or family who remain unconvinced, but its also ignorant to expect them to wake up on your timing instead of their own. so instead of venting about how hopeless it is, maybe just change your target, change your tactic, or pray on it.
I'm not dismissing anyone, nor am I dismissing them as hopeless, but rather calling them out on their current bad behavior. I'm certainly based in reality despite what you may think. (More of that condescension towards your fellow anons when you disagree?) The "mission of this website"? It sure isn't looking at BS wrapped in nice paper and calling it goodness.
Where did I ever assert that we cannot continue to wake people up or that I feel they're hopeless? I never did; that's your projection of my calling out their current bad behavior. I'm not giving up on them, but I'm not going to pretend they aren't behaving very badly. That would be like standing in front of a burning building and calling it mostly peaceful. If your five-year-old throws a tantrum you don't pretend they didn't, but you correct the bad behavior and move on. For some reason you're translating my criticism of the bad behavior of those remaining on the left as my dooming and giving up on them and that's interesting if not curious.
the parent is as responsible for the tantrum as the child is, and doesn't serve anyone by insulting the child. there's a reason they're at where they're at, and those who have failed to teach are just as guilty as those who have failed to learn. direct your ire at those who have gone to great lengths to intentionally keep your friends and family in the dark. whose will is really behind this ignorance

FNM? What is that? Thanks.
