They've been kicking this can down the road for years.
One of the interesting cliffhangers we were left with as the pandemic started...I called the California DMV and asked about it in March 2020 and they said it has been Removed as a requirement. I was totally thrilled to be honest. What does “rEaL iD” imply..that every id is a fake ID lol? And remember Democrats don’t want voter ID so gotta love the double standard

Already happened- especially in Northern border states-I am in WA and have had an "Enhanced License" for almost 10 yrs- I believe it was 2020 that you couldn't get on a plane in WA without- many used reg licenses AND passport, until they felt the need to pay extra $$$ (old license expiring) These are a direct result of asshole states giving ANYBODY a driver's license without proof of citizenship- This is closer to a passport with crossing privileges into Canada
This change was supposed to take place before COVID happened. The requirement has been postponed twice now. I do want to say this, I have the new license and it is damn hard to get. The reason I say that is because of all the documentation you have to provide, it is ridiculous. I see one good thing that can come from this. There is no way in hell an illegal is going to get one of these licenses.
