after linux mint install, install Macchanger.
open terminal (ALT + T): sudo apt install Macchanger
when installing Macchanger will ask if you want a new MAC address and IP-address on your internal system.
Wow, so it's back to the Unix world again. That's where I started 35 years ago with System 3 & then System 5. Hey, maybe C programmers will become in demand again and I can get out of the windows world.
