Vet here. Never seen that as a patch on shoulder. Left and right shoulder is unit (current and deployed as) and recruiting has a patch for units too.

Nope. Since Recruiting now falls under TRADOC, they wear the Army Staff unit patch. That is the Army Staff unit patch they wear in DC as well.

I was at USAREC HQ when they dropped the Liberty Bell. 100% of us were pissed off.
