Hey, that would make a good movie. A group of actors agree to act in a scripted reality show. They get extensive training on the backstory, but only get their scripts the night before or the day of filming.
One day, the main actor shows up to the set but no one gives him a script. In fact, the other actors ignore him.
Because we are out of ammo. Why is that so impossible to accept? What have we done with our defense budgets for half a century, except squander them and use up our assets without replacement? I mean, I was in the defense industry for 40 years, and it was all new starts that fizzled out (SDI), or programs that happened and dragged on through cost overruns (F-35, KC-46). Good programs were terminated before their time (F-22). Plenty of mismanagement to go around.
Biden might have done this for the Chinese, it could be a signal to CCP that the U.S has an open door and is ready for them, to enter
