The reason is is because golds value historically is due to scarcity on earth and beauty.
In the future, this is irrelevant. What's scarce here, will be in abundance on other planets, meteors, comets, etc.
Value will be in USABILITY and silver is more usable in hard goods.
But even then, it likely won't be long. As we begin to travel the cosmos, the only real value will be in the betterment of the entire species.
People won't do stuff to get paid, but to lift up the whole based upon your passion and ability. This is impossible in the current state of humanity. Ask Marx, Lennon, Stalin, etc. Humanity must "ascend" as Q said, then wwg1 we can go all. Unified not divided.
