No, justice is not evil. I guess the evil I'm thinking of is to have hatred for the people involved and wishing bad things for them. By Jesus' instructions we should be praying for them to repent and that isn't easy to do.
I’ve been working on exactly this for quite awhile now. We’re supposed to be praying for every person to wake up and repent-take Jesus as their personal savior and go forth and be fruitful in saving souls. Saul to Paul. We’re all sinners. Hate the sin, not the sinner.
Deuteronomy 32:35
“Vengeance is Mine; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; for their day of disaster is near, and their doom is coming quickly.”
Paul quotes this passage,
“…If it is possible on your part, live at peace with everyone. Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.” On the contrary, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. For in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Rom. 12:18-20
Judgement, sentencing, punishment is in God’s hand. Yet in our prayers for their salvation...’In wrath, remember mercy.’ Hab. 3:2
The cabal has never met justice, they have gotten away with unspeakable crimes. I hope justice does come to each one on this side of eternity so that it begins to sink in what they have done. If any still have a conscience, that they repent while there is still time.
I don’t believe death bed confessions equal salvation. Only God can tell if there is genuine repentance and faith in the heart. One thief on the cross didn’t even ask for forgiveness, only for Christ to remember Him when He came into His Kingdom. That mustard seed faith was enough for the Lord to say to him, ‘today you will be with me in paradise’ That thief also defended Christ to the other one showing he had a change of heart.
It seems unfair from a human perspective, but God loves and values every one of us so much that He accepts us anytime we turn back to Him. He doesn't play the numbers game or the greater good game. He is the shepherd will leave the flock of 99 to find the 1 lost sheep.
My personal opinion is that the person who lives a life of evil but repents on their deathbed must suffer overwhelming guilt, regret, and fear if they are truly penitent. I think just looking back at the life they spent in pursuit of evil would be punishment in itself. The thing is that God forgives all and wipes the slate clean. We are the ones who can't fully forgive or let go, even for the sins we commit ourselves.

This is my problem with the Death Bed confession
A person spends a lifetime intentionally harming others, betraying trusts, preying upon the weak; then begs forgiveness with his last breath
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction

I struggle with this!
ngl like the font, what is that?
It's called wayward in the YouVersion app I used to make it.
Evil is exhausting and unremitting, but cannot see past its own nose. Good is forever. God wins.
