When it's June and you have highs in the 70's-80's and lows in the 60's and 70's in Phoenix, service your AC, because it's gonna be brutal for July and August.
I live in New England. For the past couple of weeks, I've been seeing "Heat advisory" on the online weather for this area. Today, it's about eighty. Hot, but not anything out of the ordinary. Yes, we have a "heat advisory" for this area.
I live in Show Low Az at 6500 ft elevation where its 90 on a very hot day and We have the same, stupid heat warnings that I have never seen before during the exact same weather. More psyop bs.
Today, the coolest was 97 just before dawn. So it is true that it is excessively hot and we have the usual hikers and druggies succumbing to the heat, but obviously they weren't reading the news. The druggies I can understand, but every year these hikers go out and die, and one this year was a doctor who should have known better.
None of these hikers are. Yet they have their water bottles and FitBits and whatnot, so they are somewhat informed. And every year a few go out in the mountains around town and die. This is an interesting psychological question.
We're in Tennessee for a couple of weeks. Besides the heat advisory thing, the news has started with the "It's the public's right to know about UFOs.". 🙄
I'm in lower Alabama and we've been getting these "Excessive Heat Warnings" for the past few weeks. Saying we could see up to 110 degrees, when the app says the highs will be in the upper 90's. Yes it's hot here in the south, it's always damn hot in the south during the summer. Tell us something we don't know 🙄
The part some people don't know is, if you plan on a long hike, or whatever it is you love, and it's going to be hot as hell, you need to start extra hydration the day before. In the extreme heat once you're fucked, your fucked.
Also need electrolytes. If you sweat off a liter of water, which would be easy in half an hour, you need salt and potassium as well as water to replace it.
I gotta get me one of those fancy phones to tell me July is hot in Arizona.
I know it’s so stupid. I have lived here 25 years, and I t’s always hot during the summer..
Anywhere from 105 to 115. Any day of the week. For about three months, or more depending on climate change lol.
And it’s actually been a milder spring/summer here than the last 5 years.

I understand - but I have NEVER seen them as part of my driving directions!

No different than the stupid freeway signs screaming COVID fear porn! For two straight years! I expect to see the same here soon! Fwy Fear Porn!
Well, it is AZ in the summer in a desert. What is the coolest it could be?

We’ll… he was a Dr - and we have learned they aren’t that smart!
🤭

I know this is true - and they get lost!
I know huh!
All you have to do is walk out the door, and you know! ITS HOT!
Kinda like saying, "Excessive Cold Warning," for the North Pole. 🙄
Well, duh.
Exactly!
Or like saying.. today the weather is going to be beautiful in Hawaii.! Lulz!
Why don’t they have a beautiful day warning!
WARNING! While living in Hawaii every day will be beautiful.

Where I live, we do this thing called, "staying hydrated." If we're going to exercise outside, we make sure we drink enough fluids. It works, too.

100% you die by drinking too much water and flushing all that shit out of your system.
