I mean Shakespearean in regards to the narrative arc…not the prose per se. but lol good point.
I always think of Mamet writing a play with the climactic scene … that night when Hilary lost to trump. When she couldn’t come downstairs…the tears of her supporters.,,sending skippy down to talk to the ballroom…huma consoling her…or handling her…what it was like when trump and HRC spoke on the phone…my goodness!
And then…choosing what to wear and preparing remarks to speak to her supporters…the intestinal fortitude to eat her words without screaming or raging or being in hysterics…
Remember the rage at Donna Brazile? If he wins we’re all going to hang.,,don’t know if that really was said…but WOW.
And I think right now about the panic up the chain with this deal going ka-boom. Right on the heels of the chef death?
A trial of Hunter is way too much exposure, a pardon has too much political risk…what is the only way out? One which could garner sympathy for Joe?
Two dead sons.
Then Joe has to step down because of his incapacitating grief.
What’s the over/under on Hunter’s sad drug overdose this month.
I don’t see a way out for them if the trial goes forward.
Hunter was always going expendable. Biden will get a sympathy bump in the polls, and they can blame the Republicans for the excess stress on Hunter.
This is like a Shakespearean drama. Quick! Somebody get David Mamet to work on a script…
Whose dialogue is less Shakespearean than David Mamet's?

Now that you mention it, there's his dead wife and daughter, too, from the car crash.
Then Beau.
If Hunter dies, that would be his ex-wife and almost all his children. Would Ashley be the one only who survived?
Interesting.
