Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Well, she happens to live with her sister who is a super health nut. And I mean super health nut.
So they have all kinds of organic food, and greens for breakfast. They have a different green for every day of the week. Yes, it’s true.
I will suggest to continue with the grain breakfast. They also do juicing, and protein powder shakes with fruit.
Her sister is super strict with food, and they all eat the same food in the house. So I’m not sure how you’re supposed to actually reverse a fatty liver
She’s not fat, she doesn’t smoke, she doesn’t drink alcohol, she’s eating healthy, Mediterranean diet, lots of fruits and vegetables, chicken, tuna, salmon. Minimal bread products. I’m just wondering if there’s other holistic medicines or supplements that will help detox or get fat off the liver.
Holy Foie Gras! While researching I saw several sites mention that 30% of Americans have fatty liver. But that doesn’t mean its normal. The thing is juicing and grinding stuff into powder increases the glycemic response. Fructose doesn’t raise blood glucose that much because it has to stop at the liver first. 😦 Also minerals like magnesium could be leeched out by “healthy” foods. Mg deficiency is linked to insulin resistance. I’ve been drinking the keto kool-aid lately. It pains me to say anything bad about someone who eats like that. I admit I eat too much junk, not enough greens. In a natural environment fruit isn’t usually available year round. We might do best changing diets seasonally.
I posted about oatmeal in this general chat. You might find it interesting. https://greatawakening.win/p/16bjA255mA/x/c/4TwQWc4gGqi
Thanks for your reply. I did read the oatmeal thread. Good info.
I would absolutely avoid grain and also anything containing flour unless you bake it yourself from organically grown seeds (e.g. "Spelt" wheat seeds and similar).
Most commercial biscuits, cakes and bread contain hydrogenated fat; your body can't digest this so it stores it in the liver.
Obviously avoid all "vegetable" oils, which are made from seeds. Most non-organic seeds contain traces of glyphosate and that can cause all sorts of problems.
