Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
I think women like that would be better off just being a 'butch' lesbian.
Was just thinking yesterday how I have never seen one of these in the wild, and I'm in public almost all day, everyday. What a blessing.
Horribly sad for those who are so misguided and lost.
Thing is, most of them are so easily recognzed as a tranny, nowhere in hell have they acheived womanhood or manhood, they have achieved trannyhood, and that is all. After a contract meeting I had at the agency I work with, I drove through Montpelier, now that the floodwaters have gone, to take a gander. There was something crossing the road, now, I am usually soft hearted, I try to see everything and everyone without judging. This person had so much weight to carry, they were wearing mini shorts up the butt of their crack, and a halter top, carrying a tiny purse, with obvious make up on a mans face. Exposing their arse and stomach, crossing the street. It was repulsive, nothing else. I told myself it was some sort of mental illness and to try and have compassion, but I had none. No way this person did not know they were dressed inappropritley, no way. Show business has some, and they have the money and plastic surgery and some of the trans to female are very very attractive looking, enough to model, because they have the money too. But whatever I saw in town.....I worked for group homes for the mentally ill for years, right in that town I was in, and if any staff let one of the residents walk out the door like that , they would have been spoken to, and if needed, a screener would have been called to the residence to prevent that person from traipsing around. When I got home I just walked around my garden looking at flowers to wash the eyestain out.
Yeah, the visual appearance is shocking. Add the gratuitous "I'm here to shock you" clothes, and it can cause instinctive revulsion even if you want to be polite.
Yep. I went to Walgreens the other day and an employee I encountered confused me and caused a severe case of heebie jeebies (and that takes a lot with me.) Black dude, dressed in fairly normal men’s clothes (black pants and button down shirt,) full beard, average hair and... fake huge eyelashes, bright purple lipstick, blue eyeshadow, bright blush, flashy earrings. Super effeminate sounding voice and extremely nice to me. I just.. idk how to deal with it. I was polite, didn’t show any kind of reaction. I usually know when someone is trying deliberately to shock me and so I play their game to see how long it will last. Anyway, got the eff out of there as quick as possible.
I think it was in the words of comedian John Mulaney who I USED to like who said “is this what they think women look like? Bold and Brassy?”
What was the point though? Does that make me want to go back to that Walgreens? Hellllll to the heck no. Probably never again. What’s their motive, besides offending the average straight man, woman and child? Why is their interpretation of the opposite sex so cartoonishly badly exaggerated? Ugh.
I'm adding that to my vocabulary. So much more meaningful than "repulsed"!
I’m happy to hear it was a success. Finally somebody got out of the matrix. Yay.
What a strange journey. I knew a married couple where the guy, apparently on his deathbed with cancer, confessed to wanting to be a woman. Wife says ok. Went ahead and did the full surgery and all, and then became cancer-free. Last contact was years ago, but they stayed married. Weird.
Ugh 😣
