Yes. In Hebrew/Scriptural culture the heart = the mind.
"As a man thinks in his heart," says the proverb.
It also shows a serious flaw in most of Christian theology which assumes the Bible is referring to emotions whenever it sees "heart". Ex. the Greatest Commandment - to love the LORD your God with all your heart... is referring to thoughts and not feelings.
There is certainly no shortage of flawed thinking in Christian theology OR secular thinking on MANY subjects...science has unfortunately become a god that often supercedes the truth of God and His Word...
