EDUCATION. IS. NOT. THE. ROLE. OF. GOVENMENT.
Quit giving your children to be taught by Cesar. They will come home as Romans if you do.
Education was traditionally the role of parents (primarily mothers prior to 2 income households) and the Church. First they took education out of the church then they took God out of education,
HISTORY LESSON:
The involvement of the US government in education has evolved over time, with significant developments occurring in the 19th and 20th centuries. Prior to government involvement, education in early America was primarily conducted through homeschooling and religious institutions such as churches.
During the colonial period, education was often influenced by religious values, and many families relied on homeschooling or private tutors for their children's education. Churches played a prominent role in education, establishing schools to provide religious instruction to their members. These schools, known as parochial schools, were typically run by religious organizations and focused on teaching religious doctrine alongside basic academic subjects.
The earliest government involvement in education can be traced back to the Northwest Ordinance of 1787. This ordinance, enacted during the Confederation Congress, established a system for the organization and governance of new territories. It included a provision that encouraged the establishment of public schools in these territories. However, the responsibility for education primarily rested with local communities, and government involvement was limited.
The significant expansion of government involvement in education occurred in the 19th century. The common school movement emerged, advocating for the establishment of publicly funded schools that would provide a basic education to all children, regardless of socioeconomic background. Horace Mann, often referred to as the "father of American education," played a crucial role in advancing the common school idea. By the mid-19th century, most states had enacted laws mandating tac funded public education. This marked a steady increase in state and federal taxation.
With the rise of public education, the influence of homeschooling and church-run education diminished. The shift towards secularization was driven by the desire to provide a more standardized and inclusive education for all children, irrespective of religious affiliations. Public schools aimed to offer a non-sectarian curriculum that catered to diverse student populations. Christianity was slowly phased out of curriculum.
Regarding colleges and universities, many of the earliest institutions in the United States were founded as Christian institutions. For instance, Harvard University, founded in 1636, originally had a strong religious focus. Similarly, institutions such as Yale University, Princeton University, and Columbia University were initially established by religious denominations.
Over time, as higher education in the United States evolved, many Christian-founded colleges and universities gradually transitioned into secular institutions. This shift can be attributed to various factors, including the rise of secularism, increased emphasis on academic freedom and scientific inquiry, and the desire to provide education to a broader and more diverse student body. While some Christian institutions maintained their religious affiliations, many others underwent a process of secularization, separating their religious origins from their academic programs and policies.
Thank you so much for this great info. I agree with you that education should belong to the parents. Parents should be able to teach their children or end them to wherever that agree with them.
This brain wash camp is not education.
yep, corrupt as hell.
