This occurred to me: What happens when the rats are finally cornered -- they are no longer in power, and they are facing criminal trials that could result in their execution?

They are likely to escape to Israel, which does not extradite Israeli citizens.

That is their "get out of jail free" card.

But ...

With all of them in one location, it would be easy to round them up.

Israel is going through a political shakeup right now, where the very corrupt Supreme Court is losing power. The Israeli courts will not be able to protect when/if the Israeli parliament changes their law to allow for extradition of criminals within.

Just a thought ...
