you can carry those Pocket knives again.
Butterfly knives are a silly ass weapon. They were banned because Hollywood portrayed them as the weapon of choice for scary street thugs. Fold outs are shit too.
Get a kabar or other fixed blade, something with a pommel and cross guard and an inverted sheath that holds the knife securely without obstructing your draw.
That's it. You win knife selection with that setup.
+1 on the fixed blade. Using a Cold Steel Outdoorsman right now.
The fact that a pocket knife is considered a weapon is ridiculous. I have carried and used a pocket knife since I was 12 years old (Boy Scout) and have, not even once ever used it as a weapon. The only person I have ever cut with my knife is myself. Might as well call hammers or screwdrivers weapons
About 4 years ago, the Tennessee Legislature passed a law, which prohibits any county or municipality from enacting or enforcing any ordinance or regulation, which would regulate or punish carrying a specific type of blade. You can open carry a Bowie knife, or a Katana if you wish, though the Katana will get you some hard stares.
Arms are arms. Bear ‘em if you got ‘em. Get ‘em if you don’t got ‘em.
So wise they were when they wrote the BOR.
Who would have thought otherwise
