The easiest way is intermittent fasting, in which you limit the hours that you eat, thereby fasting the rest of the time. If you eat Keto or Paleo, you can get better results. The fasting/eating time is adjustable. You can do what works best for you depending on your schedule.
In March I switched to one meal a day. Well, by one meal I mean I do all of my eating for the day within a two-hour window, mid day. In a little over four months my weight has gone from 240 to 193, my waist from 38" to 31" and my shirt size from XL to M.
The first couple months is extremely difficult to deal with the hunger later in the evening, but now that my body has adjusted I'm fine. I've always been a "creature of habit" and I stick with things that I like, repeatedly, and that goes for what I eat as well...
Almost every day I eat four to five eggs, scrambled with some kind of meat; that's my main go-to meal, along with some veggies (I've been hooked on grilled veggies lately).
My second course is greek yogurt with some fruit. And lastly, I have some dry roast peanuts with dark chocolate chips (my "dessert").
I've yet to try fasting for an extended period (longer than my daily 22 hour fast) but I've been meaning to look into that, and maybe do a once a month extended fast.
That sounds great, especially the weight loss and size reduction. I agree that it takes some adjustment with perseverance before it becomes your lifestyle. I also really like your menu choices. Eggs, meat, grilled veggies, fruit, yogurt, nuts, are my go-to foods. I'm still in the 18/6 range, but it still helps. I also started making my own yogurt to cut back on the additives in commercial brands. I was surprised at how easy it is.
Wifey and i haven’t eaten breakfast for years. And a small snack for lunch. We cook a veggie rich dinner with usually chicken and sometimes sausage or tuna. It’s worked fine for us. Probably drink way too much coffee though kek.
I assume intermittent fasting means you skip a meal?
You can look at it that way.
