My theory is that all of the reps that are filing articles of impeachment are being forced to by their blackmailers. The dems want this bad. They are hoping one of 2 things happen - either people get really pissed off at the republicans (egged on by the MSM of course) and the dems turn out in droves in 2024, or they actually work and Biden is ousted so they don't have to do it themselves. Impeachment of Biden at this point is a no-win situation for the republicans.
If they really wanted to win in 2024 they would go after Mayorkas and/or Garland. Mayorkas has pissed off normies on both sides for his lack of solutions for the border. Easy, low-hanging fruit. Garland might be harder because the dems are already pissed the republicans stopped him from going to the SCOTUS, so it may be better to wait until he is fired by Trump.
Bottom line - impeach Mayorkas, and make Garland, Biden, and Kamala sweat.

I think you missed a scenario: The impeachment fails, effectively (for the globalist media and their leftist NPCs) declaring Biden absolved of all crimes. There will be a media blitz about how impeachment failed which means Pedo Joe never did anything illegal. Pointing out any of his illegal dealings will then be declared verboten on all soycial media, allowing them to reinforce the narrative that only "wacko conspurracy thurrists" think Biden has ever done a crime. Normies will only ever see "no he was found innocent" across all media they consume.
They effectively did this exact thing with Obongo back in the day, without having to bother with the impeachment.
I think this is the outcome they want and why they're getting the RINOs to do this when they know they don't have the votes to actually impeach Pedo Joe.
That would backfire gloriously. Remember - Trump was impeached twice. He was acquitted in the Senate twice. By the way - the impeachment can't fail. Either the house votes to impeach or they don't. If they do the POTUS is impeached - regardless of whether the Senate votes to convict.
Impeachment is also not a criminal conviction, so there is no double-jeopardy to prohibit charges once Joe is out. So even if he did get impeached but was acquitted, all of the evidence that was used in the house could be turned over to the new DOJ for criminal charges in 2025.
The most important point here though is an impeachment for Joe would have no effect on Hunter or his lack of a plea agreement. Even if Joe was "found innocent" there will be evidence that comes out in a Hunter trial with Joe's name all over it. That's why none of this really matters anyway.
If Hunter is convicted, Joe will likely pardon Hunter and then step down. Kamala will then probably pardon Joe for all crimes committed to date (like Pres Ford did for Nixon).
