Believe it or not the Pope doesn't represent all Catholics. Similarly Biden doesn't represent all Americans. I would think the members of the FBI trying to infiltrate traditional Catholic Masses wouldn't mind the meeting depicted. I assume the corrupt FBI plays on the same team.

Peter was the first bishop of bishops, there ave been many like him, but now we are going thru a period of really BAD popes. Personally I think the last REALLY ggo pope was Pius the X.
Originally, bishops used consensus. If they couldnt reach a consensus, they agreed to disagree.
Originally, the bishop of Rome, did NOT have veto power or sole authority to speak for the whole church.
However, that power was claimed 1400 years later when the Great Schism, for a variety of reasons, became official.
After the Great Schism, Western Christianity became a religion rather than a uniquely individual Way of Life based on a personal relationship with Christ; a relationship based on Love.
As the bible points out, "ONLY God is good". Consequently, those who take what the bible says seriously may be less surprised than those who don't when they learn that human beings and human institutions aren't "GOD good".
Rather than being shocked and/or enraged by revelations, theyre more likely to be grateful for reminders to pray for those who are falling short and may, in fact, now be in grave danger.
Personally, I thank God for His Amazing Grace. Thankfully, I'm not the only one.

I believe that's correct -if that Pope is elected legitimately. I don't know all about the Catholic Church or any other. But these days I don't assume any head of a church or state is legitimate.
as a religious freedom extremist, I am obliged to disagree with this take. love my catholics and my mormons, scientologists and freemasons. the reasons that certain religions exist aren't always clear. religion is also used as a tool by God, imo. so the cause and effect impact that a religion has may only be clear from a non-linear perspective. most institutions in the modern world are deeply corrupt, so the original intent is often obscured, along with any inherent value.

its just certain encounters i've had with these different organizations that makes me unsure what to think. I got a tip from a source I trust about the purpose of scientology that really shook what i thought i knew. there are a lot of factors at play here

Paranoia is a social defense mechanism. A reaction to betrayal and deceit.
Social defense mechanisms, when you scope out to view a larger population, are a lot like immune responses. And collectively, what we have is a social immune system.
Too strong an immune response across too many systems and you have an allergic reaction (crippled by fear uncertainty doubt demoralization) too weak of an immune response across enough systems and the contaminant survives to replicate and spread further infection.
The skeptics boards are an important system for its early and often strong immune response. It is also the system most vulnerable to allergic reaction. The best way to determine whether a reaction is too much is to figure out whether or not the response is good for the organism or bad or ineffective.
Only way to do that is to vigorously and dispassionately analyze the integrity and health of the systems reacting.
I think it is important to conceptualize this to see certain things clearly in the bigger picture. Things like Freemasonry, Catholicism, Mormons, Jews, etc could easily be devices to dial up reaction to a point where the system is too reactive, and so made less effective. There's enough truth to suspicions, because all of these groups have a dominant subcultural mafia that the larger culture has misplaced affinity for. Similar to how Italians like their mafioso subculture.
I think all of those groups are much more innocent of corruption than what the skeptics system thinks. Simply because I see the deliberate campaign, and the effect of that campaign as not serving the health of the system overall.
By forgiving being a generally forgiving person, you will forgive generally grouped people, and you can deprive the actual villains the ability to hide behind the innocent -- Which is absolutely something that they do -- and diminish the value of this tactic greatly, overall.
This is a far more effective thinking. As an immune system, we want to attack dangerous contaminants with always greater efficiency and always with improving accuracy. Always improving.
