We are on our 3rd newfie. She just turned 5. Newfies are not just dogs. They are soulmates.

We like big dogs also. We’ve had boxers (2), Great Danes (2- one of which was a therapy dog) & now 2 - 100 lb pits (one is mixed with Rottweiler, the other is an xl pit). They are our babies, and it’s so hard to lose them. After our Danes passed I didn’t want anymore because my heart didn’t think it could take anymore pain (one passed day before my mom passed, rough year) but then the pit-rotty mix was abandoned in our yard, then we felt he needed a little brother, lol.
