Makes sense. But what a weird position to be in if you're the HR person. It's like everyone in the room just drank poison, everyone's gonna die, and you as the HR person just get to watch everyone die, knowing you'll be dying once they're all dead.
There are HR people that move from job to job just to be the axeman. I've seen it. When one with that rep shows up hang on to your ass because it is coming.
