There's no need for a fucking death star. This shit can be fired off of planes, drones, whatever. Lockheed Martin SELLS this stuff to "customers". Look up their website.
No magical death beam satelites, no death stars, just some existing technology. Why are some drifting into fantasyland? Wake the fuck up.
I was merely using 'death star' as a euphemism. This reminds me of the death ray Nikola Tesla supposedly designed way back in the day. It's just surreal actually seeing a laser come out of the sky like that honestly. It looks like it should come out of a star wars movie. I'm very awake, and you need to chill the fuck out
Has it been used in Lahaina? I don't know. But I can't rule it out regarding the tech that's available. Implemented in a Lockheed AC-130, there you go.
Hey I appreciate it fren. Tensions are high and I was unclear with my terminology. I mean yeah for sure it's been around for awhile. My theory is that it's just an evolved and updated form of what Nikola Tesla invented before the clowns stole most of his stuff.

Yeah, excuse my wording. Each time it comes to DEWs, folks are talking about "magic killer sattelites", "death stars" and what not.
Look at this stuff, it's already available, nothing magical to it, no science fiction:
