I mean, it's hot there, sure, but "dry" isn't in the top 100 words I'd use to describe that state. Hell half of it is below seal level.
Just looked it up. 61 inches of rain a year and there's a river near by. It's a village of a little over 1000 people. I am betting there are wells.

I feel they are screwing with our weather at the moment...it usually is NEVER this dry! Humidity has disappeared over the past week for sure. Also had a fire in St. Mary Parish earlier that they put out...Also in an area near the tracks 🤔
