As a registered Independent who left the Democrat Party years ago during the corrupt Clinton Administration - and learned to appreciate Reagan and the Right to Life - I totally understand where this Guy is coming from.
Oliver never said he supported genital mutilation of kids or the gender bender craziness. Maybe he has gay friends or co-workers as I do who are appalled at the grooming agenda and power-hungry insanity that has taken over the Left. And yeah, Epstein Island is a biggie and he had guts to write those lyrics. Just because he hasn't come out in full support of the Republican Party, doesn't mean he's an enemy.
I‘m not saying either of the above two guys said what they said with a bad intention but some of that is so obviously out of left field and counter productive.

If someone has actual proof that the "Rich Men North of Richmond" singer supports kids under 18 deciding their own gender and getting mutilated to prove a lie, well, then he's a tool like so many others who believe that garbage. As for proof that Oliver supports non-USA citizens pouring over our border, I haven't seen or heard he believes this. Diversity doesn't necessarily mean supporting illegality. The border migrants are illegals plain and simple. If one wants to become a US Citizen, they need to do it according to our laws - not the laws the Left are ignoring.
For now, Olivers' song still resonates with truth..and I like it. I'm not one for following the Stars no matter what they say or do, so there's that. And this Guy is a star. Whether for good, bad or something complicated inbetween remains to be seen.
