My wife grew up with mostly male oriented music and yeah, a lot is depressing or angry, but she didn't have music like this as a little girl even though it is the kind of music she likes now. I think it might have made a huge difference if she had
Sad thing is the current crop of female American artists are all nihilist garbage, and even the ones that used to be good became literal satanists
such a lazy answer. especially since you seem to want to tone down the aggression. if anything, flyleaf is more aggressive sounding than those bands... but with Christian lyrics. great band.
not impossible to adapt... might not be the easiest solution either.
do you like music? maybe you could just set the example by enjoying what you enjoy.
living a good life is one of the best ways to teach. she may not follow your exact example, but you'll still influence her, maybe more effectively than any influence you could force on or tailor for her. just include her in what you enjoy.
just a thought. i love evanescence too lol, but i can also rock out with the hymns. or maybe your strongest connection won't be music at all, who knows?
i havent even played my nylon string in months! by all rights you guys should have it..
you're welcome:) was a teacher always/rambling how I would explain it. yes, it would require talent, which I think smart kids can appreciate/sounds like she's intelligent.
The best acapella group is Home Free and they really have some funny songs...in fact Billy Gilman recorded aa very good song with them that might be right down her alley...check them out...
I'll suggest Coheed and Cambria, they are my all time favorite ♥ they may be more adjacent to her tastes, by being rock, but they arent vulgar/dont curse hardly at all. Their lyricist/lead singer also has a very melodic and slightly feminine voice (its a big draw to me, but some people dont love it, their loss lol)
These songs are all feminine, clean, wholesome, and just damn good pop songs

These songs are relatively positive, intricate, and they rock HARD

i'll keep thinking though.
sample lyrics (different song but same album as the one i linked):
Your pretty eyes don't know
That the water flowing from this well isn't fresh
Demolish all that sets you up against your rising up
Confessing all that's broken and watch the healing come
Spread out your open hands
Admit you've held them shut
Turn all the way around
Be swept away by this
Time for surrender
Spread out your open hands
And He will raise you up
Confessing all that's broken
And watch the healing come
Spread out your open hands
Admit you've held them shut
Be swept away by this

God Bless and good luck to you both
this is clean, nostalgic, fun to listen to & might get her thinking after you've explained some Q basic proofs.
ask her what these lyrics are really saying, and how that's kind of surreal isn't it?
Voice of Q-

this is a fun one if she has any interest in the Kennedy's...it mentions John K. & Joe Joe.
(Q played the shortened version of the song, so it didn't get to that part🤔)
Green Mind- Dink
https://youtu.be/MdRIr6H9twc?si=9YZmLc3HLUQqBF5c&t=222
also think just some basic old-fashioned patriotic songs to get her to understand history,
hard to be moody when you realize the struggles soldiers went through, etc.
I love TNT & this video as inspiration, but might be too much if she's not a DJT supporter.

not Q related and probably not clean enough, but would make an awesome Trump Pepe video🐸
It's a long way to the top if you want to Rock and Roll

Has she heard Disturbed’s cover of The Sound of Silence? Blend of old and newer heavy and honestly really good, imo.
Check this out, just heard it randomly and it’s really good.
