A question about impeachment
🧐 Research Wanted 🤔
I've been wondering why the impeachment inquiries and trials are being slow walked.
So I did a little digging and I wonder if there is anyone on this platform who know much more than I about impeachment.
What I found; in order to impeach someone they must be a Federal employee. A Federal employee must take an oath of office to be a Federal employee.
My take on all of this is that none of the people we want to see impeached can be impeached because they are not legal Federal employees.
And if they do go ahead and pretend they are impeaching someone it would be another act in this looooong movie we are watching.
Am I wrong? Or am I must hoping I am correct?
I think he or she is referring to the devolution theory, according to which Biden isn’t actually commander in chief.
Ah.
My answer is optics. They need to do it 'by the book' as the public understands it.
So if the Resident, who is the coup usurper, claims he is the US president, then a very public impeachment is obviously how it must be done. Anything else and it will be seen as a coup d'état. Especially in the environment of Dems screaming 'insurrection' at every Republican move. But hey, the Dems impeached Trump twice, and so should expect that Republicans will tread that well-worn path.
Even as most of those congressmen swore a supposed oath and nullified it immediately (see Brunson case), by allowing the real (Democrat/Pelosi crime syndicate) insurrection/coup to happen, flying in the face of evidence. [insert long list here]. Of course, the Democrats claim that no evidence even happened. So, an impeachment may bring up all sorts of pop-corn worthy moments.
The impeachment may appear to be slow-walked, but measured steps is how it must be done, so that the public does not chimp out. They need to see that it is all official.
