I dont think i understand the concept of cards not working if banks are shut down. They are closed sundays. Whats the difference? Dont get me wrong, i would not mind if banks shut down for a month. But for a credit card to not work, they are seperate from the banks. Visa, master card etc are all seperate companies
If the banking system is shut down do you think the credit card companies will continue to take on consumer debt?
Knowing full well that consumers cannot pay that debt back because the banks are shut down.
