Its my opinion that the purposeful deaths of millions of citizens only makes sense by these people only makes logical sense when looked through a religious lense. It is a certain religions prophecy that this must happen in order for their king of the chosen people to return to subjugate the rest of us to bring about ever lasting peace. Everything they do, every decision made is in persuit of speeding up this process and bringing it to a reality. They have the money and positions of power to do it and the cohesive binding of a shared religion and persecution complex.
They dont see themselves as evil, quite the opposite i assume. They just think themselves better than us and following gods plan. This is a religious war and only makes sense to me framed this way. While the low level followers i am sure are unaware of the majority of this, they act as a convenient shield to criticism and ultimately feed into that persecution complex as well as acting on some level to subvert our morales and nations for reasons longer than csn be explained here.
When Newsweek merged with The Daily Beast, they became unreadable. They have had a lot of turnover and management changes in the last several years. Five years ago they got spun off to a stand alone entity and have been profitable since then.
