One of my daughters is a school teacher. She majored in education/history, and she thinks socialism is great and just needs to be implemented correctly to work! I kid you not. (it's like I'm talking to some MSNBC host) Thanks to four years of leftist college "education"! It's so amazing that someone who seemingly learned about world history, could think socialism is a good thing! I feel so bad for children who are subject to teachers with this kind of thinking. Leftist thought is like cancer, but unlike cancer, is contagious.
In her defense (somewhat), she was taught "world history " by revisionist communists actively changing true world history. She knows only what she was programmed to think without context or real world implications, even though countless examples exist in history and present day. This is reinforced by the idea that, "Well I went to university so am smarter than you" which is typical of over educated (indoctrinated) idiots.
It is what it is, man. Only way she'll change is if reality, metaphorically, shoves a barbed cylinder up her ass to make her rethink her position. Sorry for your loss.
I swear I'm the only person I know who graduated college more conservative than when I went in.
Everyone getting the same amount seems fair in theory. A couple problems with that though: A) Who is it that decides who has too much & who has too little? B) who actually dishes it out & enforces it? Ask your daughter those questions sometime in a very polite & innocent way. Therein lies the reason why "real communism" always fails.
Ask her to cite an example of a country that operates under "real communism" & see what she comes up with. Are the people happy? Is it country that really existed at a point in time??? How does she know & how did it fall? What they call "real communism" is an impossibility because there always has to be someone to maintain it. This someone has to know everything & be completely even handed. Anyone who is capable of convincing everyone that they are completely even handed is most likely a psychopath.
The other problem is what if someone really does need more? What is the process for that? I suppose they might say they should fill out all these forms & hope for the best. In good old capitalism you just go out & buy it. If you don't have the money you find a way to make it or convince a relative or friend or maybe the bank to lend it to you. It's a relatively simple process.& it doesn't depend on the whims of the government
Lastly, above here I am just mentioning one's simple needs. What about innovation? What drives that in a communist land? Where are the people who start a business in their garage which ends up bringing humanity to a much better place? If they are in a communist country they are doing it in secret hoping the government doesn't find out & to boot, their only hope would be to sell their product in a non communist country! That does not inspire innovation to well. This is why communist countries are always behind & to catch up, all they can do is steal the ideas of non communist countries.
You probably thought of all these points but I just figured Id'd throw out a few to ask her in a friendly non confrontive way if & when the subject ever came up. Best of luck with her
They know there has been no successful socialist country, but continue to believe the ridiculous idea that "well, it just hasn't been done correctly yet". Hopefully they, including my daughter, will be waking up soon.
