In Ancient Greece, beards were the norm in society as people looked to the likes of Plato and Socrates. Alexander the Great, however, was a trend setter and disrupted this status quo by practicing the clean shave. He became the first Greek ruler to have done so
It historically wasn’t unheard of but was still not the norm in a lot of cultures until very recently in the timeline.
You couple it with the rise of the modern anxiety they have tried to create around having your natural body hair (especially in the pubic region) and I feel like this is an extension of Babylon’s pedo culture.
I’ve had suspicions about the entire shaving industry and the modern advent of adult men sheering off their facial hair for a long time.
This just may be my skewed perception as a decades long beardhaver but adult men without a lick of facial hair look real “off” to me.
