Birds can be symbolic as messengers. Per the article:

Species include a Tennessee Warbler, a Baltimore Oriole and a Philadelphia Vireowas.

TN, MD, PA - anything noteworthy happening in those states or from those reps? All I got.

A jet aircraft takes seven to eight hours to cross the Atlantic. Somehow the small songbirds were blown across and survived? I’m having a hard time believing that.
